Polycultural Immigrant & Community Services (PICS) is a non-profit community based agency assisting local community of immigrants in their settlement and integration process. Our offices are located in Etobicoke, South Toronto, Scarborough and Mississauga. At each of our five major centres there are settlement workers who provide valuable information to newcomers about social service programs, housing, healthcare, immigration and settlement issues normally faced by newcomers; they also make referrals to other community services as necessary. We offer interpretation and translation services, and PICS certifies documents and affidavits. We also offer access to information through our Resource Centre, where clients can 'brush up' on their computer skills, conduct job search and connect to other services they might need.

Career Coach is a mobile project made possible through Citizenship & Immigration Canada and is coordinated by the Centre for Education & Training.

The mobile unit travels to various locations throughout Peel and Halton region providing settlement information, career counseling and job search. The Career Coach specializes in services for newcomers and newcomer youth but is open to the public. The coach parks at malls, entertainment centres, recreation centres, libraries, and community agencies and special community based events.

Our mandate is to ensure individuals in under served areas receive access to settlement information and employment related services. Our office is a 37 foot mobile, equipped with 5 laptop computers with Internet access and printers for writing résumés and cover letters, researching information and accessing career and settlement resources.

Trained and qualified staff will be happy to assist you.
